The crowd goes insane inside the ISP Loudspeakers-powered fifth stage tent at DEMF.Detroit (June 2, 2008)--ISP Technologies provided its new High Definition Line Array System HDL4210 for the new fifth stage Detroit Electronic Music Festival over the Memorial Day Weekend. When Grammy winner headliner Bennie Benassi took the stage on Saturday night, hitting the system hard, security had to be called in to keep the people from climbing on the stacks of subwoofers for even more bone-jarring bass.
The system included 20 High Definition line array boxes, 18 XMAX 212 subwoofers, and for the DJ on the stage, a "Texas Headset" consisting of two High Definition 212 monitors and a pair of XMAX 118 subwoofers. The line arrays and subwoofers were positioned at the edges of the tent, pointing inwards to the audience, while another ground stackable line array system by ISP Technologies, the Mongoose, was positioned on the edges of the tent pointing out at the overflow.
The fifth stage--new this year--was outfitted by ISP Technologies, LLC, which is based in Michigan. Buck Waller, CEO, remarked before the event, "ISP Technologies is excited to help make the fifth stage a possibility by providing our new High Definition Line Array System HDL4210 for the Detroit Electronic Music Festival. We are glad to help make this local Detroit event even more successful by providing the fifth stage with a made-in-Michigan system. Being involved in the DEMF music scene is a great opportunity to showcase our gear not only on a local level, but internationally as well."
This year's roster of performers at DEMF included Moby, Benny Benassi, Carl Craig, Richie Hawtin, Deadmau5, James Zabiela, Dubfire, and critically acclaimed artists such as Marco Carola, Peanut Butter Wolf and Cobblestone Jazz.
