Indianapolis, IN (April 7, 2006)–Unanimous, FOX’s dramatic new reality TV experiment where contestants are asked to decide who is worthy of winning a $1.5 million cash prize, features the use of Auralex Acoustics’ AudioTile and T’Fusor acoustical treatment products.
“T’Fusors can be seen in the background on the ‘Interview’ sets while AudioTile can be seen in the host background,” said Brian Wheat, director of marketing for Auralex. “Both products will be seen regularly during the show.”
Both lightweight and sturdy, T’Fusors obliterates standing sound waves to impart a strong 3D sense of spaciousness in a room. The 2 ft. by 2 ft. units are easy to install, and simple to paint by brush or spray. For the show, the T’Fusors were painted black and ‘dry-brushed’ with metallic silver to give them an ‘engine block’ look.
“AudioTile is used to absorb echoes and other unwanted sound reflections, which is key to producing high-quality, accurate sound,” continued Wheat. “AudioTile is a set designer’s dream as well, because it can be customized to create visually stunning patterns.”
The show features a diverse group of nine strangers, locked in a bunker, where they’ll remain until they decide who is worthy of a $1.5 million cash prize. However, the rub is that the longer it takes to reach a unanimous decision, the less money there will be to win. If they take too long, the show’s “money clock” will leave them with nothing. Contestants for the show include a minister, an atheist, a ladies’ man and a feminist.
“To be part of a new show such as Unanimous is both exciting and a great opportunity for a company like ours to enhance our visibility with potential customers as well as the general public,” Wheat said.
Unanimous airs on Wednesdays (9:30-10:00 p.m. ET/PT) on FOX.
