Lehi, UT (March 23, 2004)–Ivie Technologies has released its third generation software update, version 5.5, for its IE-33 handheld acoustic analyzer. Among other things, feature additions include an audio level volt meter, dual trace function to the oscilloscope, an (F)STC/NIC function, NC and NR functions, and low frequency zoom down to 1 Hz. It also improves the noise floor and doubles the resolution using a 4096 bin FFT.
“Version 5.5 rounds off the IE-33’s basic package that we set out to accomplish at last year’s NSCA,” said Bill Raventos, Ivie’s marketing director. “Once people get their hands on one, they’re sold. With the responses we’ve seen from all fields of the professional measurement workplace, any acoustic professional can benefit tremendously from its ease of use, convenient size and rich functionality. After all, it’s an Ivie.”
The IE-33 is a calibrated instrument-assistant that combines PDA functionality with professional audio tools such as RTA, SPL Meter, Oscilloscope, Strip Chart Recorder, Polarity Checker, Signal Generator and Audio Level Volt Meter. The IE-33 integrates with the form and function of HP’s iPAQ 3900, 5100, 5400, and 5500 series and is listed at $1,497 including the model 3955 iPAQ. Version 5.5 is a free upgrade and is available for download at www.ivie.com/software.htm.
