New York City (June 27, 2005)–Commercial music house JECO Music has announced the release of Library 2005, the latest edition of their collection of fully licensable commercial-length compositions. Over 100 vocal and instrumental songs have been added to their library, for a total of over 400 :30 and :60 tracks across 11 different categories.
Originally debuting in 1998, the JECO Music Library is among the first to feature broadcast quality, full-length compositions that are scored to picture from conception. Created by an Emmy Award-winning team headed by composers Jon Ehrlich and Leigh Roberts, and executive producer Gus Reyes, the JECO Music Library has proved to be an extremely useful tool for producers, directors, editors and music supervisors seeking custom-score quality music with all the convenience of a library.
“The response to the uniquely powerful applications of the JECO Music Library has been amazing,” Ehrlich said. “JECO’s composers have deep experience scoring for commercials, primetime TV and film, and we originally scored each cut in the library to picture for a specific spot, scene or sequence. It is now routine to offer clients multiple original music choices for a project, but only one can be selected. Since each of our alternatives are prepared with the same ‘ready-for-air’ care, the result is an enormously diverse range of top quality compositions that go on to find homes via the JECO Music Library.”
Divided into 11 categories of feeling/mood, including “Casual/Genuine,” “Heartwarming” and “Energy/Driving”, the four-CD JECO Music Library 2005 gives media professionals fast, efficient access to a wide variety of tracks that follow the natural arc and rhythm of commercials and other media projects. “JECO users realize that it offers many creative advantages over standard libraries that are typically written in a vacuum with no visuals to inspire them,” noted Reyes. “People often discover that our cuts sync up to their commercials as if they were composed specifically for them–this has happened for many national campaigns, including a spot that aired during the Super Bowl.
“We encourage our customers to temp with our tracks and when one of them works perfectly, it can be easily licensed on an exclusive or non-exclusive basis. If one of our tracks is close but needs editing or enhancing to make an exact fit, we’re ready to do that. This is another dimension of the JECO Music Library that few–if any–other of the off-the-shelf collections can offer.”
The JECO team, whose client list includes FedEx, Pepsi, Visa, ESPN, Chrysler, and many other top brands, was extremely selective in compiling Library 2005, including only compositions that met their highest standards for originality, musicianship and sound quality. “We could be sending out a 10-CD package, but the JECO Music Library isn’t about music by the pound,” said Roberts. “This is four CDs with 400 of our very best tracks. We maintain strict benchmarks for inclusion, and in return our users get a premium library that’s not bloated with redundancy or filler: They can pop this into their editing system with confidence that they’ll quickly find something that really works.”
The JECO Music Library 2005 is a useful solution for media producers that need fast, efficient and affordable music resources with the exceptional quality of a custom score. “People that use the JECO Music Library see that our music adds a lot to their spot,” Reyes concluded. “What’s important to them is finding music that works–the JECO Music Library 2005 makes that an extremely successful mission.”
