Joel Beckerman Receives ASCAP Award

Los Angeles, CA (April 23, 2007)--Joel Beckerman, founder and chairman of entertainment music company Man Made Music, is a repeat recipient of the award for the Most Performed Themes in the past year. Beckerman received his award at the 22nd Annual ASCAP Film and Television Awards gala at the Kodak Theatre honoring the top composers of the film and television music industry.

Los Angeles, CA (April 23, 2007)--Joel Beckerman, founder and chairman of entertainment music company Man Made Music, is a repeat recipient of the award for the Most Performed Themes in the past year. Beckerman received his award at the 22nd Annual ASCAP Film and Television Awards gala at the Kodak Theatre honoring the top composers of the film and television music industry.

The award honors the ASCAP composers whose works have earned the highest number of performance credits on television in the category of dramatic underscore for the 2006 survey year.

Beckerman's work is currently heard on over 15 TV series and specials including the ABC X-Games; CBS' The Early Show; Discovery Channel's documentary series Critical Hour, Dr. G and Double Agents; MSNBC's Hardball with Chris Matthews and Countdown; and NBC's The Chris Matthews Show. This past year includes Beckerman acting as producer for Academy award-winner James Horner for the main theme on The CBS Evening News with Katie Couric. For this project Beckerman also composed additional themes and dozens of arrangements.

Beckerman is president and founder of Man Made Music, a music for media company based in New York and Los Angeles.
