San Francisco (December 17, 2004)--k.d lang and her various accompanying orchestras used DPA Microphones’ IMK4061 instrument miking kits on her recent fall tour.

"Because we are either playing as a guest of an orchestra or hiring orchestras wherever we go, having to mic up a different set of instruments from place to place could have been a real logistical, time consuming problem," said Mac Johnson, an audio technician for k.d. lang. "Fortunately, we found DPA’s IMK4061 before we went on tour, because it has made our jobs a whole lot easier."

"The cables are long enough to attach to the chairs instead of the music stands, and the way they are positioned on the instruments makes them almost invisible to the audience," said Johnson."
