New York (February 17, 2010)—Platinum rockers The Killers carried a Martin Audio W8L Longbow line array PA on their recent U.S. tour.
The band was supported by Delicate Productions of Camarillo, CA, partnered with British sound company Capital Sound. Alan Behr, audio crew chief and Delicate Productions employee, managed a crew of audio personnel that included front of house engineer James Gebhard, monitor engineer Clarke Laplante, audio techs BJ Hemmingsen, Fumi Okazaki and Harm Schopman, who would later replace Laplante mixing monitors.
The main PA for the tour featured Martin Audio W8L Longbow line arrays, with a main hang consisting of 24 W8L Longbow modules, with 24 flown Martin Audio W8LS subwoofers for the low frequencies. Downfill was supplied by Martin Audio W8LD, four boxes per side, with a side hang of up to 24 Martin W8LC. Martin Audio MA4.2 amplifiers powered all speakers.
The system also featured a DiGiCo SD7 digital mixing console at Front of House and a DiGiCo D5 at stage left for monitor mixing.
