San Jose, CA (August 19, 2009)--Lauten Audio has entered into a new value-added distribution agreement with Gardnerville, NV-based Summit Audio. Under the terms of the agreement, Summit Audio will serve as the exclusive value-added distributor in the United States.
For the past three years, Summit Audio has served as the exclusive U.S. sales representative for Lauten Audio, and the move to a full value-added distributorship reportedly solidifies the partnership. "Working closely with Summit these past three years has been a very rewarding experience," says Brian Loudenslager, founder of Lauten Audio. "Summit has provided a wealth of knowledge and experience as we brought our microphones to market. Expanding the partnership will help Lauten focus on research, engineering and new product development, such as our new pressure gradient capsules."
Erik Papp, president of Summit, notes, "It is relationships like this one that have inspired us to serve the United States with quality products that complement our own. A partnership such as the one we now share with Lauten helps us hold ourselves to a higher standard, and provides us with invaluable insight into our mutual customers' needs and wants. On a simpler note, it gives us the opportunity to be in front of our customers more often, but still with very relevant quality products." To help manage its growth, Summit recently hired industry veteran and former Adam Audio U.S. CEO Dave Bryce to lead brand-development efforts and help expand U.S. market share.
