Las Vegas (September 4, 2009)--Beyonce's current tour touched down at the Encore at Wynn Las Vegas early last month, where the energetic performance was recorded for DVD by Le Mobile Remote Recording.
Performing tracks from her latest album, I AM...Sasha Fierce, as well as older tunes, Beyonce led the audience through a personal dialogue from the beginning of her career to now. The venue was the smallest of her tour, housing only 1,500 seats, which made for an intimate viewing.
Le Mobile began with an afternoon set up, preparing 96 channels in time for sound check. There was quite a distance between the remote studio and the stage, making sure the crew got a work out. One member of the crew carried a pedometer and noted walking an unheard of 5 miles during set up! Running cables was not easy labor in this case, but the Le Mobile crew made it happen.
Owner/engineer Guy Charbonneau claims, "It's a challenge to impress the Le Mobile crew, but Beyonce proved to be a true performer, leaving the audience, as well as the crew, in awe." Beyonce now continues on her tour, which is to touch down in Japan, China, Australia, and Europe. The DVD is set to be released November 2009.
