"I've been a longtime fan of Anthony DeMaria's compressors," says Lee, "so I jumped at the chance to test out this mic pre from PreSonus. I've used it on everything from the stereo bus of a reggae mix to the stereo output of a drum machine on the new 50 Cent album. The sound is very warm and punchy, just what I would expect from a three-tube per channel DeMaria mic pre," says Lee.

Lee adds, "I like the trim so you don't have to conform to the 5db step increments that other mic pres give you, and the four different mic impedances give me more options for getting better tone whether I'm using a DI or a microphone."
