Los Angeles, CA (July 26, 2006)--Engineer Jason Lehning recently tracked and mixed an album by bassist/composer Viktor Krauss, featuring Dean Parks on guitars and Matt Chamberlain on drums.
Jason Lehning playing Dean Parks' "huge" nylon string bass. The largely instrumental album features three songs with guest vocalists: Ben Taylor, Lyle Lovett and Shawn Colvin. Working with producer Lee Townsend, Lehning recorded the album at The Sound Factory, assisted by Jason Mott, and mixed it at SF Soundworks in San Francisco, where he was assisted by Loredana Crisan. Some additional recording for the album was done by Adam Munoz. Greg Calbi mastered the album at Sterling Sound in NYC.

Lehning reportedly tried out some A-Designs Pacifica mic pres on this project and "really loved them." The album is scheduled to be released by Narada in early 2007.

According to Lehning's website, he most recently tracked basics for Guster at guitarist Joe Pisapia's Nashville house for a tribute album to The Band.
