Melville, NY (September 7, 2010)—Leviton has appointed Chris Carrella to the position of director of technology for distribution marketing and sales.
In his new role, Carrella will lead the implementation of cost-effective technology solutions to support Leviton’s customer-centric marketing and sales initiatives. He will additionally focus on streamlining process efficiencies, reducing administrative overhead and delivering solutions that support Leviton’s “go green” mandate through its sales channels.
“In today’s demanding business world, having someone that can facilitate technology connections with key customers, while reducing administrative time and overhead for sales professionals is a critical imperative,” said Bill Marshall, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Leviton. “Chris’ primary role is to help us achieve these goals. The fulfillment of these goals enables us to serve our customers more efficiently.”
In a career spanning over 20 years, he has held various previous positions at Leviton where he led project teams through the process of implementing new software solutions. Carrella played an instrumental role in upgrading the company’s Oracle ERP systems, implementing its facility-wide PBX system and integrating export compliance systems.
Before joining Leviton, he held a variety of positions in the information technology field with Cablevision, Publishers Clearing House and Chase Auto Finance. He holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from C.W. Post College.
