New York (March 16, 2010)--Line 6, Inc. reports that its lines of digital wireless microphone and digital wireless guitar systems are exempt from a recent consumer alert issued by the FCC.
The alert states that wireless microphone system (or similar device) that use the frequencies between 698 and 806 MHz (the 700 MHz Band) for broadcast may not be used after June 12, 2010. These frequencies will now being used by public safety entities (such as police, fire and emergency services) and by commercial providers of wireless services (such as wireless broadband services).
Line 6 digital wireless systems, which include X2, Relay and XD-series wireless gear, operate license-free in the 900MHz and 2.4GHz ISM bands, and accordingly, are exempt from this and other recent FCC advisories.
