Las Vegas, NV (April 24, 2008)–On Friday, April 25, Live Production Institute will host an invitation-only open house, presenting the new school’s Lighting, Audio, Video, and Stage Technologies programs. The event will be held in LPI’s main Live Video venue at 5:00 PM at 2400 N. Tenaya Way with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 6:00 PM.
Craig Tiffee, president, explained, “The entertainment industry as we know it is continuously evolving, while the technology used is forever changing and becoming more specialized. We are training the students in the industry of show business where the technology of today–as well as the future–plays a very large role in the success and safety of the production.”
LPI says its individual programs will “act as a launching pad to a wide range of high-paying, cutting edge jobs in their respective fields. It is an intensive, hands-on educational opportunity that caters to any lifestyle, from the recent high school graduate to someone making a mid-life career change.”
The school’s 12-acre campus encompasses over 307,000 square feet, including 20 live sound stages, 63 labs and control suites, 52 classrooms and a 30,000 square foot live concert venue. The school is mapping out an ambitious growth planning, planning to accommodate over 5,000 students annually within five years.
