Washington D.C. (March 3, 2004)–Greg Lukens of Washington Professional Systems will be holding a demonstration of the Neumann Solution-D digital microphone system at Bias Studios in Springfield, VA on March 16th, 2004. To help attendees get a real sense of the system from the free demo event, Lukens has enlisted pianist/composer Charlie Barnett and Grammy award-winning bluegrass stylists, Cathy Finks and Marcy Marxer, and bassist Ralph Gordon to perform at the studio.
Lukens decided that serious recording engineers and producers really needed a “hands on” demo to fully understand and witness the performance of the Solution-D, introduced last year, in a real world situation. Hence, attendees will listen to live music in several rooms at Bias Studios, and then listen to the playback of the D from various workstations. After a short briefing by Lukens, listeners will be able to make their own judgments to the playback of the D and evaluate the results.
Two Z-Systems, 8×8 Detanglers will handle the distribution of the microphone’s signal to the Digidesign Pro Tools rig and Apogee Mini-DACs for playback through custom Westlake monitors and, throughout the facility, several pairs of DynAudio BM15As.
Sound like fun? If so, then you are one of the fifty or so guests Washington Professional Systems wants at the FREE demo, to be held Tuesday, March 16, from 1:00-4:00 PM. Pre-registration is required by simply R.S.V.P.’ing via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
