Los Angeles, CA (April 7, 2006)–Gary Lux, formerly vice president of music production at 5.1 Entertainment Group, has been appointed senior vice president of music development and audio production at Bennett Productions/HDLA, according to Casey Bennett, president and CEO.
At Bennett, Lux will develop and produce music for all of its forthcoming productions as the company merges multi-channel surround sound music and audio with the High Definition programming it is well known for.
All of the current delivery requirements for the many multi-media formats include 5.1 surround sound will now accompany the stereo mixes for all of Bennett’s productions. Bennett Productions/HDLA now offers a fully digital 5.1 surround sound music and audio production complement to its HD filming capabilities

Lux, a 28-year music industry professional, has extensive experience in multichannel, 5.1 surround sound mixing. With literally thousands of projects to his credit, his most recent DVD and DualDisc music mixes include Rob Thomas’ Something To Be (the 2005 Surround Music Awards Best Surround Concert Video), Ben Harper & The Blind Boys of Alabama Live At The Apollo, Janet Jackson’s From Janet to Damita Jo, and Usher’s 8701. He has two Emmy Award nominations for his work with The Jacksons and Frank Sinatra.
