Martin Audio Helps Rea Get The Blues

United Kingdom (June 22, 2006)--Chris Rea, the British singer-songwriter, painter and guitarist, recently created a new collection ("album" doesn't quite do it justice) called Blue Guitars, comprised of 11 CDs of 137 songs, a DVD and a collection of paintings influenced by the individual aspect of the blues addressed by each disc. Now touring behind the epic release, Rea has turned to UK sound company RG Jones for the audio backing, and the company, in turn, has turned to Martin Audio line arrays for the production.

Now touring behind the epic release, Rea has turned to UK sound company RG Jones for the audio backing, and the company, in turn, has turned to Martin Audio line arrays for the production.
Chris Rea is currently on tour in the UK, rocking audiences with the help of a Martin Audio WSLC line array system supplied by sound company RG Jones. The loudspeaker system consists of 32 Martin W8LCs, 12 Martin W8LMs and four of the brand new W8LMD wide-angle downfill cabinets, along with 12 WLX subs. The system needed to be flexible, as venues on the tour range from intimate theatres to cavernous arenas, with audience ranging from 1,500 to 11,000 all needing to be covered. The W8LC provides the main system, with the W8LM's acting as ground stacks or flown outfills as required, and as downfill for the main system in some of the loftier gigs.
