East Rutherford, NJ (August 3, 2004)--Scott Kalata of Masque Sound & Recording recently presented a Neumann M149 Jubilee edition microphone to long-standing customer Jon Bon Jovi at his Sanctuary II studio in Middletown, NJ. Bon Jovi and longtime engineer, Obie O'Brien, immediately used the M149 on a forthcoming release and have reportedly been thrilled with the results.

Kalata commented that the microphone's quality is "just impeccable" and so "sonically versatile" that it will be used at Sanctuary II for many other applications besides vocals. For example, he reported, Bon Jovi absolutely loved the way the M149 sounded on acoustic guitar and is looking forward to further experimentation as his new project progresses.
