Leicester, NC (July 13, 2007)--Singer/songwriter and guitar virtuoso Peter Mayer is best known for touring and recording with Jimmy Buffett as part of The Coral Reefer Band, but he also records solo albums and tours with his own Peter Mayer Group, often performing in church venues. When he’s touring for himself, he often has Chad Stewart, owner of Stewart Sound, located in Leicester, NC, along to handle both Production Manager and FOH duties, and he, in turn, brings an extensive microphone package made up of Heil Sound PR 20, PR 30, and PR 40s.

“I get almost every miking need taken care of by three models of Heil mics, says Stewart. “The PR 20 is quickly turning into my all purpose ‘go-to’ microphone. I use the PR 30 for guitar, percussion, and also as a drum overhead with much success. I recently used the PR 40 on a cajon and it could alter the path of flying insects!”

Mayer explains, “No question about it, Chad Stewart of Stewart Sound is part of the band when he mixes FOH for the Peter Mayer Group. Song by song, he has become an essential element in our sound. He has been honest about the need for improvements here and there, whether it is with aspects of the show or recommending changes in the equipment we use. That included a total revamp of our sound system in 2006, and taking Heil Sound microphones on board our tour last year. Care for each note you play should be matched with care in what microphone delivers those notes to the audience!”
