Hollywood, CA (February 10, 2004)--The Media-Tech Association, the International Recording Media Association (IRMA) and United Entertainment Media (UEM) today announced they will co-produce "Entertainment Media Expo"--the largest U.S. conference/exhibition/award program serving the needs of entertainment media professionals. Entertainment Media Expo will be held at the new Hollywood Renaissance Hotel from August 30 to September 1, 2004, and will include the Media-Tech Showcase & Conference, DVD Entertainment Conference & Showcase, The Entertainment Packaging Summit, and Entertainment Asset Management.

The new event, which will combine exhibits from all shows on one showcase floor, will also offer private demos, four simultaneous separate conference programs, three awards programs, and two executive networking events. Last year more than 3,000 industry professionals attended the individual events that will form Entertainment Media Expo.

"Convergence is the word for our industry. There are tremendous synergies between our various conference programs and our attendees," said Media-Tech Association president Bryan Ekus. "By combining four major events, we have created the world's most important event serving media professionals in video, audio, games, etc., while providing a single, convenient show experience in the heart of the entertainment capital of the world."

"The combined event will now attract professionals in all facets of the production chain for entertainment media, including content creation, production, archiving, replication, packaging, retailing and distribution," said IRMA president Charles Van Horn. "By bringing together so many influential professionals from so many related fields, this expanded event will truly play a major role in building the market for physical media in today's digital world."

"Aligned with two major trade associations, our media company is excited to provide the marketing muscle and expert content that will help expand these individual events into a single exhibition powerhouse," said UEM senior vice president Martin Porter. "The Hollywood community needs a single event of this sort and we are proud to associate our properties with the Entertainment Media Expo brand".
