Jessup, MD (September 15, 2005)–Visitors to API’s Booth (#626) at the AES Convention next month in NYC will have the opportunity to meet API founder and designer, Saul Walker, during the first three days of the show, October 7-9.
Walker designed such pillars of the company as the 512 mic preamp, the 550A equalizer and even the blue API “spears” logo. Visitors to the booth will have the chance to not only meet Walker, but also register to win an autographed API 550A mic pre and the API Lunch Box (a $2,200.00 value).
Having re-introduced the 550A at last year’s AES, using Walker’s original designs, API thought it only appropriate to ask him to come to AES and meet customers and friends. Walker visited the API plant several months ago, where API’s director of engineering, Jeffrey Bork, spent time with him discussing engineering techniques and how API can continue to stay true to the brand as the company moves further into the digital age.
