Los Angeles, CA (September 8, 2010)–Meyer Sound has been named official sponsor, conference audio provider of the 3rd annual 3D Entertainment Summit, to be held September 15-16, 2010 at the Hilton Los Angeles.
The 3D Summit covers the latest developments in the 3D marketplace; Jeffrey Katzenberg, CEO of DreamWorks Animation SKG, writer-director M. Night Shyamalan and Chris Cookson, president of Sony Pictures Technologies, will be keynoting the conference.
As official audio provider, Meyer Sound will supply its Cinema Experience sound system to the 3D Entertainment Summit. “The 3D Entertainment Summit is committed to showcasing the latest trends in technology for it’s select audience of influential entertainment executives,” said Summit co-producer Bob Dowling. “We are excited to feature Meyer Sound’s Cinema Experience sound system to complement the latest in 3D visual technology being presented.”
Meyer Sound CEO and co-founder, John Meyer, will participate on a panel discussion on The Drivers in Theatrical: The State of the 3D Exhibition Business at 1:35pm on Wednesday, September 15th in the main auditorium. The panel, to be moderated by Richard Verrier of The Los Angeles Times, will examine the impact and effects 3D cinema is having on exhibitors as well as look at the new and emerging alternative content offered in 3D that can help increase ticket sales.
