Anaheim, CA (January 19, 2011)–Microtech Gefell debuted its M 1030 large-diaphragm microphone at the Winter NAMM show. It is a condenser mic with cardioid pattern, developed specifically for users in the studio sector.
Applications include vocalists, announcers, dialog pickup and as spot microphones for recording guitars, keyboard, percussion, wind and string instruments. It has a dynamic range up to 142 dB and a low noise floor of 7 dB (A).
The green, light-emitting diode (LED) as a new feature is inside the protection grid and operates as an optical-ready indicator. The condenser capsule reportedly aims to provide a smooth frequency response with a slight presence boost in the 8 to 14 kHz range.
