Placerville, CA (November 2, 2005)–Millennia Media has debuted its HV-3D/R, 8-channel, remote-controllable microphone preamplifier. The HV-3D/R employs the same HV-3 mic preamp circuit found in the company’s HV-3C and HV-3D units. Gain control is achieved via 4th-generation relays employing gold-plated contacts rated at 50 million operations.
MIDI and Ethernet are its primary remote protocols. The MIDI interface allows plug-and-play compatibility with Pro Tools systems. The Ethernet interface coupled with Millennia’s HV-3D/R control software (Windows XP or Mac OS-X), features high-resolution virtual metering, headroom and dynamics indication, unlimited channel link groups, extensive scene management, channel naming and scratch-pads, instant system-wide visual data presentation, context-sensitive help screens, and a self-correcting “smart” data error detection hierarchy.
