India (May 2, 2007)--Indian sound reinforcement company Sound.com recently provided the audio system for the annual Femina Miss India pageant, held at the Bandra Kura Complex in Mumbai. Based in Bandra, Mumbai, India, the nine-year-old live sound and corporate audio specialist has a staff of 48. For the pageant, the company chose a JBL VerTec line array rig for the proceedings.
This year's Miss India pageant was heard via a JBL VerTec line array."We began our audio careers in search of milestones like these," said Warren D'Souza, Sound.com's founder and owner. "Sound.com was proud to be providing sound solutions for Femina Miss India, undoubtedly one of the biggest and most-watched international beauty pageants. We decided to provide superlative audio to make it a surreal aural experience."
Sound.com provided JBL VT4889 full-size line array elements, VT4887 compact line array elements, and VT4880 arrayable subwoofers. Additionally, JBL VRX915M loudspeakers served as stage monitors, while JBLVRX932LA loudspeakers provided side fill coverage. The entire system was powered by Crown IT4000 and IT6000 amplifiers.
