New York, NY (December 3, 2007)-Underground hip-hop competition the Monday Night Fight Klub has opened a new studio in New York City, while simultaneously gearing up for a new season; its creators and host, International P, are currently looking for up-and-coming emcees.
Monday Night Fight Klub recently opened a 5,000 square-foot recording studio in Manhattan. The facility and is equipped with two recording rooms and a spacious lounge. Studio A features an SSL 4000 G+ studio B is equipped with a Digidesign Pro control 24 mixing board, SSL EQ and compressor, and DigidesignPro Tools HD|3 Accel system.
Hip-hop emcees can upload a video and mp3s at www.thefightklub.com or via a customized YouTube link at www.youtube.com/fktour2007.com to enter the "60 Second Assassin" contest for the chance to become a contestant at a Monday Night Fight Klub battle event in New York City. Each battle competition will be taped for television to air at a later time.
Monday Night Fight Klub has also launched the "FK Anthem" contest in partnership with Music Nation. Through Music Nation, an artist development company and online music community, users will be linked directly to the contest page via www.thefightklub.com, where they can download an original track produced by DJ Green Lantern, create a song and then upload the finished MP3 for contest submission.
The public, Monday Night Fight Klub's Executive Nick and DJ Green Lantern will judge entries each week; the contest ends December 28 and the winner will be announced in February 2008. The winning artist will have their song as the official FK Anthem for all of Season 2 and receive a signature mixtape created by DJ Green Lantern.
