Burbank, CA (March 7, 2006)–Hip-hop artist artist DMC (of Run DMC) finished his debut solo album Checks, Thugs and Rock-N-Roll at Moonlight Mastering, with engineer Nancy Matter at the helm.

The album and DVD were released yesterday. The album featured production by DJ Lethal of Limp Bizkit, Fieldy of Korn, producer Shatek and Kid Rock, Romeo Antonio, and DMC himself. The album features additional guest appearances by Kid Rock, Run and Dougie Fresh.
Matter also mastered the original soundtracks for two Oscar-winning films–the documentary, March of The Penguins, originally scored by Alex Wurman won Best Documentary and Tsotsi won Best Foreign Film. Matter has also recently worked with composer J. Peter Robinson for the new film The World’s Fastest Indian, featuring Anthony Hopkins.
