New York, NY (December 15, 2010)–Theberge Music Works has opened a boutique recording studio on Manhattan’s Upper West Side under the name Music Works NYC.
On-going launch events have featured a jam session led by percussionist Giovanni Hidalgo, as well as appearances by Grammy winner and world music icon Youssou N’Dour. Currently, UK producer Deewaan (Lady Gaga’s The Remix Album) is in residence, working on an album by up-and-coming Reggae Pop artist Nando.
Past and current TMW clients include Discovery Networks, Harvard University, Lifetime Television, and Archon Asia.
The facility is the vision of TMW founder, Chris Theberge, founding member of Grammy-nominated contemporary Jazz group Groove Collective, a recording artist with 20 years of music industry experience, including albums on Warner, Universal and Savoy, and performances at Montreaux, North Sea, Red Rocks, WOMAD, Mount Fuji and Blue Note New York, Milan and Tokyo. Theberge is also a member of the Rolex Mentor Protege Initiative.
Located on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, Music Works NYC was designed by platinum engineer/consultant Christos Tsantillis (50 Cent, Patti LaBelle, The Roots, Diddy) and built by Michigan-based custom studio builder Ken Capton (Eminem, Kid Rock).

Music Works NYC recording studios were designed for pre/post, mixing, overdubs, voiceovers, sound design, film scoring, radio production and audio for music videos and audio books. It offers Avid Pro Tools HD3 systems, and Apple Logic Studio.
Theberge Music Works, Inc. maintains offices in New York and continues to produce music for special events, sound design and original music production for domestic and international clients.
