Hollywood, CA (March 23, 2004)–Music and sound design company Musikvergnuegen is expanding its repertoire of work and talent with the opening title sequence for the new film Taking Lives, commercial campaigns for Expedia, Microsoft and Ikea, and a network re-design for TBS. The music house also welcomes production coordinator Kira Lewis and has secured Carl Forsberg of forsberghowell for East Coast representation.
“My vision for Musikvergnuegen is to stay at the forefront as creative and troubleshooting experts,” remarked Walter Werzowa, founder of Musikvergnuegen. “We can turn around work very quickly and provide strong concepts. It’s not just about the music–it’s about what works best for the particular project. Our motto for the New Year is to be flexible and to position us as a state-of-the-art music resource. To adapt to the ever-changing and challenging needs of the business, we will be working closely with Beyond, a new music search and licensing company also based in Hollywood.”
The innovative music studio was also commissioned by Apple to score its NAB show reel, which will be used in various trade shows and internal presentations. The multimedia presentation will also include footage of Musikvergnuegen composers at work as they utilize Apple’s Logic software to score compositions.
To help with the increasing workload, the company has added production coordinator Kira Lewis to its team. Lewis previously worked for music agent Sam Schwartz of The Gorfaine-Schwartz Agency. From 2001-2003, Lewis worked as the assistant recording engineer and recordist for film composer James Newton Howard, working on several of Howard’s film scores, including Signs, Dreamcatcher, America’s Sweethearts and Treasure Planet. Lewis will work with Musikvergnuegen executive producer Pat Weaver to coordinate the details and flow of activity on each project.
