MW Audio Names Church General Manager For High-End Studio Consultation

Marina Del Rey, CA (November 21, 2005)--MW Audio has hired industry veteran Jimmy Church as general manager, to handle consultation on and installation of studio systems for MW Audio's major artists and clients.

"Jimmy is a true professional," conceded MW Audio president Mike Warren. "He brings to the company a wealth of practical experience of commercial facilities and project studios, in addition to hands-on use of a wide range of production equipment."

Church started his audio career in 1987, while recording and producing bands at his personal-use studio, Son!, located in Hollywood, CA. In 1993 he opened the new pro audio department at Guitar Center's Megastore on Sunset Boulevard, where he reportedly became the #1 salesperson for the entire GC chain. He left Guitar Center for Alesis in 1994, where he was Southwest Sales Rep. In 1998, Jimmy joined Amek as western regional sales manager; the following year found him at HHB Communications USA, as national sales manager. "At HHB, I successfully launched the Ashdown bass and guitar amplifiers in the United States," Church recalled, "along with HHB and TL Audio product lines."

He then joined West LA Music in 2004, after recording his own instrumental guitar CD, "Who is Mr. X?"--which Jimmy wrote, played, produced, engineered and mastered. From 1994 through 2002 he also owned and operated a studio with his partner, Rudy Sarzo, of Quiet Riot, Ozzy and Whitesnake fame. Over the years Jimmy has worked with such artists as U2, Guns 'n' Roses, Rob Halford (Judas Priest, Fight, Two), Quiet Riot, Gin Blossoms, Dio, Soundgarden, Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake, Dio, Lion), Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath), Andy Johns (Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones), Mack (Queen, Rolling Stones, David Bowie), The Wallflowers, The Calling, Lifehouse, Lenny Kravitz and Mana.
