Claret, France (July 26, 2007)--NETIA announced three new enhancements that bring added networking, distribution and scheduling capabilities to the company's Radio-Assist 7.5 range of digital audio software programs. The latest release of the Radio-Assist software suite features integration of NETIA's U-Share network management system and a Feed-In IP Mode for day-to-day scheduling of all automatic recordings of external programs, available with customized Axia IP-Audio networking components.
"The movement of audio to the right place at the right time is a critical part of streamlined production operations," said Xavier De Vynck, NETIA vice president of business development. "Through these new features and components for Radio-Assist, we've provided functionality that simplifies the exchange of content among users and applications to enable more flexible, fluid and synergetic workflow processes."
Radio-Assist 7.5 covers the entire operation of a radio broadcaster, allowing production staff to record, edit or prepare playlists while working within a single application. Radio-Assist features tools for acquisition, sound-file editing, commercial and music production, newsroom systems, scheduling, multicasting, administration, and more.
NETIA has integrated its U-Share network management system into Radio-Assist 7.5 to simplify the distribution of audio content from one site to multiple destination sites. U-Share automates the exchange of content over the latest transmission platforms--IP transport or DVB video transport--for easy management of content distribution. Other content exchanges can be organized according to priority with flexible options for setting and modifying transmission schedules. U-Share optimizes the exchange of video and audio content through autonomous and automatic management of its transport network. For each transfer request in a given time slot, U-Share offers the best solution for the current network congestion, thus considerably reducing transfer costs.
