Salt Lake City, UT (November 17, 2003)–Broadcast, telco and multimedia equipment manufacturer, Network Electronics ASA, has opened its new American headquarters in Salt Lake City, UT under the leadership of Cameron Francis. Wiggo Evensen, managing director of sales and marketing, has also announced that Francis will be joined in the U.S. by Lars Kristian Thomesen, business development manager.
Francis, a seasoned industry veteran with a commanding background strong in all business functions including administration, finance, operations, sales and marketing, is charged with supporting Network Electronics’ current U.S. customers while increasing the company’s presence in the States. Francis will develop and expand the company’s dealer and distribution network and provide service and product support for Network partners. In addition, he will oversee all components of promotion and marketing of Network Electronics’ three product lines, which include the VikinX router range, Flashlink fiber-optic transport platform, and ConQuer signal processing products, to the U.S. market.
“We are very excited to have Cameron join our team in this time of growth in the U.S. market,” said Evensen. “His expertise and success in developing business and marketing plans lends itself to our company goal of strengthening our American presence with new, powerful, and increased sales and marketing resources.”
Prior to joining Network, Francis served as senior product line manager for PowerQuest Corporation. Francis’ accomplishments include the design and release of some of the most successful products in PowerQuest’s 10-year history. Francis also held the position of senior product manager for Thomson Grass Valley (formerly known as Thomson Broadcast and Philips Broadcast) where he was responsible for all aspects of strategic planning, marketing, pricing and release of over 200 high-end products.
