Fresh Paint is a five-year-old non-profit Washington-based public charity, dedicated to partnering with local churches to help children and youth understand their value, worth and purpose. The organization, run solely by volunteers, uses events such as free carnivals, puppet shows, and concerts to lift the spirits of those in need.

Neutrik's products are being used to connect the sound system for the organization's live events. These include several of Neutrik's speakON connectors; its 4-pole female cable connector (NL4FX); its right-angle cable connector (NL4FRX); 4 pole chassis connectors (NL4MP-UC); and its 4 pole lockable couplers, which links two speakON connectors together for a cable extension (NL4MMX).

Neutrik also provided several male and female XX Series connectors (NC3FXX-B, NC3MXX-B) along with its Silent Plugs (NP2X-AU-SILENT, NP2RX-AU-SILENT), which are used for a transition of plugging and unplugging instruments during live events. For system integration, Neutrik's Plug PX Series connectors (NP3X-BAG) were also donated, as well as its 1/4" Patch Panel (NYS-SPP-L1), and a dual 'Bantam' Plug (NP3TT-2).

Fresh Paint Ministries has two different sound systems--a mobile hydraulic sound stage for outdoor events and a main stage rig for indoor events. The outdoor stage is a 24 ft X 20 ft. electro hydraulic stage that levels and rises, then flips out. This one-of-a-kind custom stage was built completely by donated materials. The indoor roll-away stage is 60 ft. X 40 ft. The kids attending the events are the stage-hands for the concerts as they set up and roll out all the cables and operate all the games for the carnival events.

The organization also turns to professional bands in the area to not only give the kids free music lessons, but to also perform at its events. Soul Deep, an American alternative rock band, recently donated its time to perform for one of the organizations' events. While most of the events are held in the Washington area, Fresh Paint has plans to travel to California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma in the coming year.

"Neutrik connectors are involved in every event we host," says Bruce Rechsteiner, director at Fresh Paint Ministries. "We have no budget, so the Neutrik connectors are invaluable to us, especially the kids we serve. Fresh Paint was started with one guitar in a parking lot. Thanks to donations from manufacturers, such as Neutrik, and our dedicated staff of volunteers, we are now a public charity that looks out for the better interest of people that are in distress. Music provides hope and we are happy that we are able to offer that to these kids."
