Enfield, CT (April 4, 2005)–Launched in 2002, CharterOak microphones are hand built and quality checked over a 7-day burn in with actual use in session in the company’s Enfield, CT-based facility and studio. Components used in CharterOak microphones come from the U.S., Czech Republic, Sweden, and China, and they are hand selected and custom built for CharterOak microphones.
According to CharterOak, its microphones fill a gap in the market, between the $500 mic and the $3,000 + mic, without suffering from the poor build quality and inconsistency seen in the rebranded Chinese microphones on the market. CharterOak products reportedly exhibit consistency, huge sound with higher output gain, and field serviceability. CharterOak is also dedicated to personalized factory support, pledging immediate response time so that customers will “never be without CharterOak microphones in a session.”
