Los Angeles, CA (October 27, 2009)--Universal Studios Sound has appointed the new feature mixing team of Jon Taylor and Bob Beemer to Feature Mixing Stage 6 on the Universal lot.
Taylor mixed the Academy Award-winning film "Babel" directed by Alejandro Gonz·lez IÒ·rritu. His work on Babel earned a 2007 BAFTA nomination and a 2007 Cinema Audio Society Award nomination. Taylor's recent projects include The Proposal, Role Models and 27 Dresses.
Beemer's impressive career includes Academy Awards for sound mixing for Dreamgirls, Ray, Gladiator, and Speed, along with three additional Academy Award nominations. His recent projects have included The Final Destination, American Gangster and the Bourne trilogy.
"I have admired Bob's work for years and I'm thrilled for this opportunity to work with him," said Taylor. "I couldn't resist the chance of working with Jon in this state-of-the-art facility," added Beemer.
