Paris, France (September 29, 2006)--Dalet Digital Media Systems announced that the Russian satellite channel Rusiya Al-Yaum will use the DaletPlus News Suite solution to broadcast its programs in Arabic. This Dalet installation comes just ten months after the successful deployment of the DaletPlus end-to-end newsroom solution at Russia Today.

This DaletPlus New Suite installation will provide Rusiya Al-Yaum with comprehensive newsroom production, playout and archiving capabilities leveraging the power of Omneon video servers and standard IT technology. "We know from experience that the Dalet system delivers industrial strength production and playout capabilities with a very user-friendly workspace environment. Combined with the world-class professional services and support Dalet delivered during the first installation for the Russia Today program, it was an easy decision for us to come to them and their partner OKNO TV for a second installation to support the Rusiya Al-Yaum Channel," said Sergey Maganet, technical director, ANO TV-Novosti.

"The first DaletPlus News Suite solution at Russia Today was successfully deployed in three months," explained Oleg Trushelev, director of digital department of OKNO TV, Dalet system integrator. "The integrated newsroom system manages all aspects of the news production and playout workflow--from ingest to production and on-air. That is the reason why it was a natural choice for Rusiya Al-Yaum channel to opt for Dalet."

"Dalet brings much more than just technology to the table. We have the experience, the understanding and the ability to deliver complete solutions in a short time frame," commented David Lasry, CEO, Dalet. "We are honored that the team that made the success of Russia Today chose DaletPlus News Suite for their new channel Rusiya Al-Yaum and we look forward to another successful deployment with our partner Okno TV."

Established in April 2005 by the autonomous non-profit organization TV-Novosti, Russia Today is a news channel oriented for global viewers. It broadcasts in English 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
