The Baja Prog festival in Mexico brought the likes of Circa to the audience via Nexo Geo S8 loudspeakers.Baja California, Mexico (May 23, 2008)--Those who think that Prog Rock has gone the way of the eight-panel vinyl album cover are mistaken; it's merely gone to Mexico. Every year, prog rockers of the world unite each year in the town of Mexicali, the capital of the Mexican state Baja California, for the Baja Prog festival, and this year's event found Nexo loudspeakers on hand, bringing every beat of 7/4 time to the masses.

This was the second year that local PA company Audiomix provided a Nexo Geo S8 system for the 20 bands at the 12-year-old festival. This year's system was configured with 10-element hangs on either side of the stage (eight S805s plus a pair of S830s) with two CD18s subs on either side.

The audio crew of Baja Prog.Among the big names were 1970s act Focus and Tony Levin from King Crimson and Peter Gabriel, as well as Cast (Mexicali host band, not the mid-'90s Brit Rock act), Alonso Arreola (México), Riverside (Poland), Omni (Spain), Rocket Scientists (United States), and the legendary New Trolls (Italy), Le Orme (Italy) and Circa (United Kingdom and U.S., featuring ex-members of Yes).
