New York, NY (January 14, 2005)–Avatar Studios’ Neve 8068-equipped A room recently hosted Lava Records band O.A.R, who were in recording with producer Jerry Harrison and engineer Eric Thorngren, assisted by Brian Montgomery. Producer Judith Sherman also dropped into Studio A to work with composer Steve Reich and engineer John Kilgore. And, Verve artist John Scofield worked in Studio A with producer Steve Jordan and engineer Joe Ferla recording a new album.
Engineer Rich Costey mixed material by My Chemical Romance for Warner Records in Avatar’s Studio B, equipped with an SSL 9000 J. And, in the Neve VR-equipped Studio C, producer Manfred Eicher and engineer James Farber recorded and mixed the Paul Motian Electric Bebop Band for ECM Records. Also recently in C, Kenny Wayne Sheppard recorded a song for ESPN with engineer Jon Kaplan and Sean Jones recorded an album with producer Al Pryor and engineer Jim Anderson.
Avatar’s new SSL 4000 G+ equipped Studio G, designed to accommodate an influx of independent projects, welcomed producer/engineer Ben Schigel in to mix an upcoming record for Windup Records band Breaking Point.
