The Ocean Way monitor systems now available through GC Pro range from the HR-2 tri-amplified 3-way system to the OWA-1615Q quad-amplified system with four mid-bass horns, eight mid-woofers, eight sub-bass woofers, and two radial horns with dual throats. Systems include crossovers, equalizers, and power amps.

"We are very excited about bringing our hi-resolution monitors to the commercial marketplace," commented Sides, Ocean Way founder and owner. "These speakers are the result of more than three decades of development at our studios--ultra-high fidelity recording monitors that produce the levels you need for a producer like Dr. Dre but which are equally satisfying to a Herbie Hancock or a band like Green Day. It's simply a very powerful, extremely accurate, standalone broadband system."

Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters and Nirvana fame, commented, "The monitors Allen built for my private studio, which we used to mix the last Foo Fighters album on, let me hear my music the way I want: very loud and very clear!" Additional praise has come from users such as Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, Green Day producer Rob Cavallo, mixer Jack Joseph Puig, producer and electronics designer George Massenburg, and Skywalker Ranch scoring engineer Leslie Ann Jones.

Ocean Way Audio grew from Ocean Way Recording, the group of recording studio complexes created by renowned engineer Allen Sides.

Over the years, engineers who had worked at Ocean Way began asking Sides to create custom monitoring systems for other facilities, and thus began the start of Ocean Way Monitoring Systems. At the end of 2006, Allen Sides partnered with GC Pro as the exclusive distributor of Ocean Way Monitoring Systems.

"At GC Pro, we have been offering almost everything you need for a professional recording environment," remarked Rick Plushner, Director of Sales, "from DAWs to consoles, amps, outboard gear, patchbays and cables. But the one piece of the puzzle that has been missing is the true large scale monitoring system. Now with Ocean Way's Hi-Res Monitors, we complete the picture with a range of speakers that provide the optimum audio presentation for mixing and tracking."
