On Point Audio was founded by audio industry veterans Doug MacCallum and Mike O’Neill who previously held senior management and engineering positions with AKG Acoustics, Altec-Lansing, Electro-Voice, Harman Professional and Mark IV Audio. MacCallum and O’Neill have over 60 years of combined experience in all facets of the pro audio market, and have conceived and created many widely-used products. They have worked directly with numerous tour sound companies, consultants, contractors and high-profile musical acts all over the world.

On Point Audio has also appointed Mike Torlone as its sales and marketing manager. Torlone has held various marketing and project management positions with Electro-Voice, Telex and AKG Acoustics.

On Point Audio’s stand in Hall 8, Stand # L 75 will present initial product offerings, including models of powered and passive full-range, subwoofer and floor monitor systems. All transducers used in On Point Audio’s systems are custom-designed by the company and are hand-built in-house to ensure consistency and high performance.

One of On Point Audio’s unique technical features is a newly-developed Narrow-Profile NP15N 15-inch woofer that is only 14 inches wide (355 mm). On Point Audio’s engineering was able to “shrink” the woofer’s overall size by making its frame semi-rectangular instead of the commonly-used circular shape and by making its 15-inch cone deeper. The 3,200-watt Narrow-Profile woofer features a large-format 4-inch (101.6 mm) voice coil and a high- excursion cone that compliment its unique narrow-profile design. On Point Audio also developed a new, high-power 1.75-inch (44.4 mm) pure titanium compression driver.

“On Point Audio’s speaker systems offer a unique combination of premium- quality large-format components, high value potential for dealers and outstanding performance and long, useful life for working musicians, DJs and club owners. Our exclusive narrow-profile design provides more output and wider response out of a smaller front baffle than previously possible," said On Point Audio, Inc. president, Doug MacCallum.
