Chatsworth, CA (December 15, 2005)–audioMIDI.com, an online reseller of music technology products, is taking their “not just a reseller, but a resource” attitude one step further with the introduction of a weekly Podcast geared towards musicians and music professionals. The weekly Podcast covers industry news, manufacture spotlights, interviews, audio tutorials, and music. The Podcast can be subscribed to via iTunes by searching for “audioMIDI” and can also be listened to at www.audiomidi.com/rss/podcasts/.
Debuting in June of 2005 with the first Podcast geared toward music technology, the audioMIDI.com Podcast receives 500-1,100 downloads a week. Thus far the audioMIDI.com Podcast has featured interviews with product specialists from Ableton, Native Instruments, as well as other companies. There is also a “Tutorial Minute” that covers topics such as AD/DA conversion, synthesis, and choosing the right microphone. Archived podcasts can be accessed on the site, and include interviews with Dave Bryce on ADAM monitors, Mitch Thomas of Sound Toys, Steve Bartkowski of M-Audio, Athan Billias of Yamaha, and Marcus Ryle of Line 6, among others.
audioMIDI.com was founded in 1999, by industry veteran Russ Jones, as a way to provide a customer based resource for musicians as well as serve as a value-added reseller of computer based audio production tools.
