Italy (December 7, 2006)–Guido Noselli, founder and chairman of Italian pro audio manufacturer Outline, passed away on Friday, December 1, following an undisclosed, incurable illness that was diagnosed only a year ago.
According to the company, much of Noselli’s and Outline’s reputations were cemented by his patents and unconventional ideas. Noselli was known for his ready willingness to share his experience and knowledge, and his passion for pro audio.
In the days since Noselli’s passing, the company has been flooded with emails and telegrams from Outline users around the world; some of the comments received included:
Guido was the ideal combination of intelligence, humanity and generosity.
He was naturally magnanimous and generous with everybody, without expecting anything particular in return.
When he received something for himself in exchange–however small or symbolic–he was so filled with a feeling of gratitude as to be embarrassed and even moved.
Among his employees and collaborators, he was considered above all a paternal reassuring figure.
He himself spoke tenderly of ‘one big family’ and without realizing it, assumed this responsibility with the diligence of every good father, and a great sense of duty, even in hard times and moments in which discouragement could easily have got the upper hand.
Even when concentrated on his work, he was deeply touched by any human events, immediately stopping what he was doing to offer his help.
When he spoke about any topic, but particularly about pain, he seemed to have ‘heavenly inspiration’ and his words were soft and timeless.
