The PSM tour is scheduled for Friday, October 6, 12:30pm - 3:30pm. Technical Tours are made available on a first come, first served basis.

San Francisco, CA (September 22, 2006)--Paul Stubblebine Mastering & DVD (PSM) will be hosting a tour of its facilities for the 121st AES Technical Tours program. The PSM tour is scheduled for Friday, October 6, 12:30pm - 3:30pm. Technical Tours are made available on a first come, first served basis.
Michael Romanowski's mastering room at Paul Stubblebine Mastering Tickets can be purchased during normal registration hours at the convention center. Reservations are recommended since there are limited amount of space on each tour. Coast Recorders studio will also be included as it is housed in the same building as PSM and has its own interesting features and history.

The AES Technical Tour at PSM will allow attendees to view the two stereo and surround mastering rooms, listen to material they are familiar with as well as unique projects from PSM. Attendees will meet and talk with mastering engineers Paul Stubblebine and Michael Romanowski to get their personal take on the process of mastering, equipment choices, acoustics design and formats. Renowned studio acoustician Bob Hodas will be on hand to discuss listening room acoustics, and the solutions he devised for the particular challenges of the two mastering rooms. Coast Recorders will show off their Neve-equipped control room and "vintage" live room designed by famed engineer and inventor Bill Putnam during the rock music explosion of the 1960s.

In addition to the scheduled AES Technical Tour, PSM will be host to several product manufacturers for private demos and listening including Sennheiser, Neumann, Klein & Hummel, Meyer Sound, and Grimm Audio.

AES attendees will be able to make private appointments to listen to equipment in a real studio environment with real project material. Hours vary but are flexible, such as after the trade show in the evening. Please contact the manufacturer on the AES trade show floor for more information.
