Anaheim, CA (January 22, 2004)–Last week during its Winter Show, NAMM hosted the 11th Annual Grammy Producers SoundTable, presented by The Producers & Engineers Wing of the Recording Academy. SoundTable panelists included Michael Beinhorn, Jonathan Davis of Korn, Damon Elliott, Patrick Leonard, Steve Lillywhite and Don Was, with Dave Adelson moderating.
In fact the panelists on the SoundTable have quite a bit of experience with the Grammy Awards, with Davis, Lillywhite, and Was all Grammy winners, and Beinhorn and Leonard Grammy nominated producers. The event, held on Saturday, January 17 at the Anaheim Marriott Convention Center was the 11th SoundTable event held by The Recording Academy.
Established in 2000 as a division of the Recording Academy, the Producers & Engineers Wing has now grown to a collection of more than 5,000 professional producers, engineers and technologists. The P&E Wing’s mission is to provide an organized voice for the pro sound community, while ensuring its role in the development of new technologies, recording standards as well as other critical issues affecting the craft of its members. The P&E Wing also addresses advocacy initiatives ranging from new media to archiving and preservation that have an impact on the community at large.
