Honolulu, HI (August 12, 2005)–Podcast Connect, Inc., manager of the People’s Choice Podcast Awards at PodcastAwards.com, has announced the official results from nearly 400,000 votes that were cast to recognize the leading podcasters throughout the world.
This Week In Tech at www.thisweekintech.com was the overall winner of the 2005 People’s Choice Podcast Awards. Daily Source Code at www.dailysourcecode.com was the winner in the Best Produced Podcast category. StreetIQ.com, platinum sponsor of the Podcast Awards, will present the awards to the winners during the awards ceremony at the Podcast Expo in November.

Podcast Connect received over 100,000 nominations, which resulted in a slate of 482 nominated podcasts. Using a grading system, a final slate of 100 candidate podcasts were represented in 20 categories. During the two-week voting process and using OneTechnologies.com’s proprietary layered vote validation process engine, Podcast Connect recorded and verified over 387,000 votes. The website at PodcastAwards.com received more than 3.7 million unique page views.
