Hopewell Junction, NY (May 14, 2007)–Brian Peters has joined Metric Halo as the company’s first field application engineer. Primarily focused on the proactive development of training and marketing materials highlighting the technical advantages of the Metric Halo product line, Peters will also be available to help customers work through complex pre- and post-sales systems integration issues.
Brian Peters, Metric HaloPeters is a classically trained musician with a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Miami. In addition to his degree in Recording Engineering Technology, he also completed a full minor degree in Electrical Engineering. His recording career, which has spanned more than 25 years, has focused on the audio engineering of classical music.
As a Grammy-nominated recording engineer with credits on more than 500 commercial recordings, he has engineered recordings that have been released on many labels, including ASV, Bridge Records, VAI Audio and Parnassus, as well as for the audiophile label, Dorian Recordings. One of the original engineers for Dorian, he was among the cutting-edge promoters of minimalist microphone technique–utilization of the natural ambience of the venue (with no equalization or mixing).
“We are very excited to have Brian join us as our first field applications engineer,” said Joe Buchalter, president of Metric Halo. “We originally got to know Brian as a customer six years ago when he purchased a Mobile I/O. Over the years, he has been incredibly insightful; always pushing the boundaries of what could be accomplished with our products. When presented with the opportunity to have Brian join us, we immediately realized that his insight would be of great benefit to Metric Halo customers.”
“Before joining Metric Halo,” Peters added, “I based my entire professional recording system around the Mobile I/O, adding SpectraFoo and ChannelStrip to my editing, mixing and mastering system after I became familiar with the products. In the end, I liked the products so much that I decided to join the company. This new position is very exciting. I have always liked determining how to configure a system to accomplish a specific goal. The modularity of the Mobile I/O system means that you can do far more with it than is immediately obvious. My job is to help both existing and new customers to see how to maximize their investment. It’s not about selling more, it’s about making it all work together to accomplish the customer’s goals.”
