Alsip, IL (December 6, 2007)--Chicago-based Peterson Electro-Musical Products will be celebrating its 60th year in business in 2008. The company dates back to 1948 with its first product being the Model 150 reference tuner. Since then, Peterson has continued to be a part of the tuner field by introducing the industry's first audiovisual tuners, LED-based tuners and mechanical wheel strobe tuners.

Recently, with its Virtual Strobe Technology tuner line, Peterson has continued its dedication to the players by offering the world's first pedal strobe tuner with true bypass, software strobe tuner and rackmount strobe tuner.

"While we have been around for a very long time, we are just now hitting our stride!" says Pat Bovenizer, vice president and 35-year veteran of Peterson. "Next year will be another exciting year for us with the introduction of new products and markets that we will be targeting."

Peterson's official anniversary ceremony will be held at NAMM in Anaheim, CA on Saturday, January 19 at 2 p.m. in Booth 5990 Hall B.
