Sonoma County, CA (April 2, 2007)–In late March, Prairie Sun Recording hosted former Moody Blues keyboardist Mike Pinder, as he produced the tracking in Studio C of his sons’ band, The Pinder Brothers. Taking a break just outside the studio (l-r): Ed Ulibarri, Mike Pinder (the younger), Tony Clarke, Mike Pinder (the elder), Paul Rivelli Tom Size sits at the console as the band and the production team discuss the take.
Mr. Pinder was joined in his production role by his old friend, and producer of the Moody Blues from 1966-1979, Tony Clarke.
Engineered by Bay Area engineer Tom Size, the sessions featured Pinder Brothers Matt and Mike (the younger), both graduates of the local Sonoma State University, as well as venerable Bay Area session musicians: guitarist Stef Burns and drummer Paul Rivelli.
Tom recorded the tracks with Studio C’s vintage, 1073-loaded Neve console and Pro Tools HD system. The band and their production team lodged on the farm, in Prairie Sun’s guesthouse, for the duration of the session.
