Halifax & Charlottetown, Canada (April 28, 2004)–PowerPost Production has acquired Salter Street Digital from Alliance Atlantis Communications, and will assume management and operations of Salter Street Digital immediately. PowerPost plans to continue operations at all three Salter facilities in Halifax, Nova Scotia and Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
PowerPost Production is owned and operated by Rob Power, former VP of Salter Street Digital, and Brian Power, a former sound engineer of Salter Street Digital. Rob Power will assume the position of president and CEO, and Brian Power will assume the position of VP and COO. All 27 employees at the three facilities will continue with PowerPost Production.

Our in-depth working knowledge will allow us to continue the operations ‘business as usual,'” said Rob Power. “We have a strong client base, an award-winning staff, complemented by state of the art facilities. As the largest post-production facility east of Montreal, we look forward to continued growth throughout Atlantic Canada.”
PowerPost Production’s Halifax facilities host two Dolby Digital Certified mixing suites, as well as a new high-definition (HDTV) video editing suite. The Charlottetown facility, located at the Atlantic Technology Centre, features a theatrical-sized Dolby Certified audio mixing theatre with a high definition video editing suite to be online in the next month.
