Melville, NY (February 4, 2008)--Pro-Bel has made two appointments to its Americas team--Jamie Gatto joins the company as operations and technical support manager; and David Diels has been appointed Northwest regional sales manager.

Gatto spent five years with Turner Entertainment as broadcast operations manager for a range of its channels, and has also worked with Discovery as production operations manager, and as a project manager at Harris.

"As system sales become more complex--the automation and play-out arena being a prime example--sales activity must now address operational staff as well as engineers and management," says Pro-Bel Americas president Neil Maycock. "Jamie's background with Turner and Discovery means that she truly understands broadcast operations and particularly how to relate products to users. We have tasked her with providing effective communication, concentrating on operational staff within potential and existing customers. As complexity levels rise, it is vital that we explain effectively how our systems are used and the benefits that they provide."

Diels comes to Pro-Bel with sales experience in the broadcast industry, most recently with Pathfire. Prior to that, he was with Miranda for more than five years and has also worked with Chyron and Abekas.

"Pro-Bel is at a crucial stage in its development," Diels observes. "I am very excited at the prospect of playing a role in leveraging Pro-Bel's matchless engineering heritage and software expertise to create compelling solutions for a broadcast industry in rapid transition."

"Pro-Bel continues to evolve," concludes Maycock, "and we are thrilled to appoint staff who share our vision of the future and can play an important role in delivering it. We look forward to an exciting year."
